Product Introduction
This product is based on the principle of water vapour transmission test by cup method and designed and manufactured with reference to ASTM E96 standard. It provides a wide range and high efficiency water vapour transmission rate test for low, medium and high water vapour barrier materials. It is suitable for water vapour transmission performance testing of films, sheets, papers, fabrics, nonwovens and related materials in the fields of food, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, daily chemicals, etc.
Test principle
Desiccant inside the specimen cup (weight gain method) or place water (weight loss method). Seal the specimen cup with the specimen and place it inside the test chamber. Control the temperature, humidity and wind speed of the test chamber and the difference of humidity inside and outside the specimen cup. Drive the water vapour to penetrate the specimen. The mass of the specimen cup increases or decreases. Weigh the mass of the specimen cup at regular intervals and calculate the water vapour transmission amount of the specimen and other performance parameters.
