Product Introduction

The W405L is a newly developed high-end precision packaging material testing instrument. It is used to test the water vapour transmission rate of samples under set temperature and humidity conditions. It is suitable for the water vapour transmission rate performance test of films, sheets, papers, packages and various materials in the fields of food, medicine, medical equipment, daily chemistry, photovoltaic electronics, etc.

Test Principle

W405L water vapour transmission rate tester adopts the principle of infrared method. Fix the pre-treated sample in the middle of the test chamber and divide the test chamber into a high-humidity side and a low-humidity side. The humidified nitrogen flows on one side of the film, and the dry nitrogen (carrier gas) flows at a fixed flow rate on the other side. In the presence of a humidity gradient, water vapour will permeate from the high-humidity side to the low-humidity side, and the water vapour that passes through the sample is carried to the infrared sensor by the flowing dry nitrogen. The water vapour transmission rate (and other parameters) of the sample is obtained by the electrical signal output by the sensor.

Simple operation

Professional software with simple interface, easy to use and convenient to set test process. Fully-auto operation, one-button test, judge and stop automatically. Programmed auto-control, the experiment status displays in real time. Curves display of transmission, water vapour concentration, temperature and humidity in real time. The curves with conceal function support query function for background data. Mainframe configured with colour touch screen, can observe temperature humidity and transmission without external computer. Professional test report; can be exported as PDF.

Advanced technology

Temperature control: auto heating and cooling, no need for external accessories. Precision: 0.1℃. Humidity control: Dual gas flow method (dry gas and humid gas), high precision (1%RH) and stable flow. Provides electronic signature function, online report submission and review functions.

High efficiency

Three independent test chambers: three samples can be tested at the same time and output three test reports, which improves test efficiency. Measurement precise up to 0.001 g/m2·24h, can test high barrier materials, such as aluminium foil. By adding adaptive accessory, it can test water vapour transmission of various containers such as bags, bottles, cans and bowls.

Authority management and data tracking

The software is designed according to the requirements of the new GMP Appendix computerised system. A user name and password is required to log in to the workstation, and ensure the safety and effectiveness of account and experiment data. Users can be classified into different levels of system administrator,
instrument administrator, auditor and operator. The system administrator can adjust the permissions of various levels, for example, increase and decrease system control items of any level. It also has audit and trace functions (test tracking, log tracking) so every data change is recorded, ensuring the security and integrity of test data.

The infrared sensor, with high precision and good performance can work for a long time. Sensor over-range automatic protection prevents damage to important
